Nervous system alchemy

Breath, sound, temperature.

Keith Kemp is a master-level breathwork expert, certified sound healing practitioner and lifestyle coach based in Tampa, Florida, working worldwide. He teaches what he calls nervous system alchemy: using breath, sound and temperature to steer physiology on purpose.

His credibility comes from three worlds that rarely combine: a clinical training in breathing mechanics, a ceremonial training in sound, and a commercial practice building and running contrast therapy for facilities, athletes and corporate cohorts.

THE BERKSHIRES · 8 DAYS · 100 HOURS

He went back to being a beginner.

By the time Keith arrived at Sound School he had already spent years teaching breath at a level most practitioners never reach. He turned up to an eight-day training that requires no musical experience at all, and spent it learning to hold instruments he had never touched.

Half of what is taught there is not about sound. It is about set and setting, reading a room, holding a group, and the presence of the person at the front. Keith could already measure everything measurable. This is where he trained the rest.

The photographs below demonstrate sympathetic resonance. Each image belongs to one of four frequency groups. Focusing or hovering an image makes it brighten, and after a short delay the other image tuned to the same frequency responds on its own, without being touched.

STRIKE ONE BOWL AND EVERY BOWL TUNED TO IT BEGINS TO SOUND. NOTHING TOUCHES THEM.
